Christians in Harford County MD Coming Together to Pray - May 11, 2008

Almost 200 nations and over 200 million believers, together in many locations throughout the globe, celebrated the Global Day of Prayer last year on Pentecost Sunday.  It was the largest prayer meeting in the history of mankind!  Locally, believers from all parts of Harford County joined the international Body of Christ in Edgewood.  This year the Global Day of Prayer is scheduled for Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Grace Assembly of God from 5 pm to 7 pm.  We welcome you and your congregation to join this momentous movement in the earth.

This global prayer meeting started in Cape Town, South Africa in 2001.  By 2004 it has spread throughout the continent of Africa with 23 million participants crying out to God for global revival.  In 2005 the entire global Body of Christ was invited to join in and over 150 nations and 100 million Christians responded on May 15, 2005.  That is a result that only God could produce!  Harford County’s celebration that year was at the Concord Lighthouse in Havre de Grace.  And each year we are growing in fellowship, unity and rejoicing.

The two hour program includes prayer led by various local pastors, ministry leaders and Christian politicians intermingled with songs and hymns of praise to our God.  If you are interested in being involved in the program or help in the planning, please contact Ed Ducote at 410-236-2092.  Learn more at the national and local websites: www.gdopusa.com and www.Harfordgdop.org.
